Job summary

PA Connecting Communities in Pittsburgh seeks dedicated and motivated Job Coaches to support individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism in achieving meaningful, competitive employment in the Pittsburgh area.

You will conduct work readiness assessments, assist with resumes and job searches, provide on‑the‑job training, and collaborate with families, schools, and vocational partners to place and retain individuals in community-based jobs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related field preferred.
• ACRE certification or 2 years Job Coaching/Career Counseling experience.
• 4 years experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct work readiness assessments and identify vocational interests.
• Assist individuals with resume development and job searches.
• Provide job placement assistance and on-the-job training.
• Teach and reinforce job tasks and workplace expectations.
• Collaborate with each individual's team, including participation in annual ISP meetings when applicable.
• Support individuals in developing independence and workplace confidence.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in accordance with company policy.
• Communicate effectively with employers, referral sources, and team members.
