Job summary

The Salvation Army in Madison, WI is seeking a Marketing & Communications Leader to craft and execute integrated strategies that raise awareness of our mission and programs. You will oversee digital content, media relations, branding, and special events while supporting donor stewardship and fundraising campaigns.

You will manage digital marketing, content development, and event planning with a focus on measurable impact and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related field.
• At least 3 years in community engagement, PR or event planning.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute marketing, communications, and PR strategies.
• Serve as primary media relations contact for the organization in Dane County.
• Create content for social media, website, newsletters and press releases.
• Plan and manage events, campaigns, and donor engagement activities.
• Coordinate branding and storytelling to support fundraising initiatives.
• Monitor performance metrics and report on reach and engagement.
