Job summary

HavenHouse St. Louis seeks a Communications and Community Engagement Manager to build a practical communications program and strengthen mission awareness.

The role is hands-on, coordinating with the Executive Director and program staff, with a focus on content, channels, and community visibility while protecting patient privacy. You will lead storytelling, social media planning for Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, develop content libraries, and nurture community partnerships.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of relevant experience in communications, marketing, community engagement, or PR.
• Ability to plan and execute social media independently.
• Excellent writing and editing with the ability to communicate sensitively about health and family experiences.
• Strong organization and ability to manage a part-time workload and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with Canva and basic design tools; comfort with website updates.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a monthly communications calendar aligned with organizational priorities, fundraising campaigns, volunteer needs and events.
• Apply HavenHouse messaging, voice and visual standards consistently across communications and templates.
• Create repeatable processes, templates and content libraries for sustainability and transferability.
• Identify communications opportunities and present clear recommendations to the Executive Director.
