Job summary

West Virginia Department of Education is seeking a Coordinator in the Office of Child Nutrition to support state agency administration of NSLP, SBP, CACFP, SFSP, FFVP, and related programs. The position requires a Master’s degree in a relevant field, at least two years of administration experience, strong communication skills, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in public health, management, nutrition, or related field.
• Two years of successful experience in administration and management of nutrition/public health programs.
• Knowledge and experience with computers including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and MS 365 programs.
• Demonstrated ability in written and spoken communication.
• Willingness to travel extensively (including overnight stays).

Responsibilities

• Plan, conduct, and coordinate on-site monitoring of schools, childcare institutions, and sponsors.
• Documentation of monitoring, correspondence, training, and sponsor applications per federal/state requirements.
• Assist in developing policies, guidance, and resources for program oversight.
• Develop resources, manuals, and website content to improve program integrity.
• Manage monitoring and reporting processes for nutrition program sponsors.
• Prepare records and reports for monitoring activities and provide training as needed.
