Job summary

Fairstead is seeking a Leasing Consultant for its affordable housing communities. You will assist prospective and current residents through the leasing process, schedule tours, collect documentation, and ensure compliance with HUD/LIHTC programs.

Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential. You will work on-site at Fairstead properties, coordinate move-ins, renewals, and resident inquiries, while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Two years of experience as a leasing consultant at an affordable housing property.
• HUD/LIHTC and Section 8 experience required.
• Proven skills in managing leases for high volume properties.
• Solid understanding of rental regulations and compliance.
• Expert knowledge of rental agreements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Yardi Software and Realpage.

Responsibilities

• Respond to leasing inquiries, schedule appointments, coordinate maintenance requests, and handle resident complaints.
• Screen eligibility for affordable housing programs and gather required documents.
• Convert leads to tours by following up with prospects and providing community information.
• Conduct informative, personalized tours resulting in new leases.
• Prepare and execute lease agreements and move-in paperwork, and coordinate move-ins.
