Job summary

Stanford University’s Haas Center for Public Service seeks a Development and Communications Coordinator to support External Relations. The role focuses on donor stewardship, content creation, and operational support for communications campaigns.

Reporting to the Communications Director, you’ll craft and edit material, manage CMS updates, and help prepare fundraising content for diverse audiences, including students and donors. Some evenings/weekends required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and one year of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated writing and editing skills for professional communications.
• Experience with university communications or nonprofit organizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day‑to‑day activities for communication and donor stewardship deliverables.
• Assist in producing and distributing content for students, donors, and other audiences.
• Develop fundraising and promotional materials using templates and brand standards.
• Draft, edit, and proofread publications and other communication vehicles.
• Perform routine website updates using the university's CMS.
• Maintain donor and prospect records in the external relations database and run standard reports.
• Track department budgets, gift expenditures, and platform analytics; compile routine reports.
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
• Occasional work on evenings and weekends.
