Job summary

NAYA Family Center is seeking an analytical and mission‑driven Asset Manager to join the Community Development team. You’ll ensure the affordable housing and real estate portfolio stays financially healthy, compliant, and well maintained, while aligning with the organization’s mission.

Responsibilities include financial analysis, budgeting, and coordinating with lenders, residents, and service partners to strengthen portfolio performance and resident experiences.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of experience in real estate asset management, property management, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of Native American history and diverse urban Native communities.
  • Ability to analyze financial statements, budgets, and property performance.
  • Understanding that resident experience and partnerships are essential to affordable housing.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple properties and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor financial, operational, and physical performance of the portfolio.
  • Analyze statements, budgets, results, and KPIs to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Partner with Finance and property management to develop annual budgets.
  • Monitor regulatory, loan, and reporting compliance requirements.
  • Build relationships with property managers and vendors with clear performance expectations.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational challenges.
  • Support occupancy and lease-up efforts by coordinating with partners and residents.
  • Oversee capital needs, maintenance, and capital improvement planning.
  • Prepare asset management reports and presentations for leadership and lenders.
  • Coordinate procurements for consultants, vendors, and services.
