Job summary

The Immunotoxicology group at Charles River in Michigan supports safety assessment for preclinical studies, using flow cytometry, ELISpot, and related assays. The team develops methods, validates them, and performs routine analysis in both regulated and non-regulated spaces.

We seek a Bachelor’s-level scientist who can work extended hours as needed, communicate clearly, and assist with instrument operation and data analysis across platforms like BD LSR Fortessa and Cytek Aurora.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a science-related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn validated systems and work outside standard hours.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently perform and document procedures in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Communicate effectively with peers, supervisor, and team.
• Assist with laboratory maintenance functions.
• Label and prepare solutions for studies.
• Maintain study-specific inventory with oversight.
• Write study and non-study deviations with minimal oversight.
• Participate in process-improvement initiatives.
• Develop critical thinking, troubleshooting and time management skills.
• Support routine sample analysis studies with oversight.
• Assist method validation projects as needed.
• Operate laboratory instruments with oversight and analyze data.
