Job summary

The Snyder lab at Thomas Jefferson University is recruiting a postdoctoral fellow to study immune mechanisms of retinal and CNS pathology during viral infection. The successful candidate will have an immunology background and experience with in vivo models.

Responsibilities include designing experiments, analyzing data, preparing abstracts and manuscripts, and presenting results at local and national meetings.

• Independent development and testing of scientific hypotheses.
• Ability to prepare abstracts, manuscripts, and grant proposals.

Responsibilities

• Collects and assembles data for oral or written presentations.
• Independently develops scientific hypotheses related to ongoing work in the laboratory.
• Independently designs experiments to test hypotheses.
• Independently carries out or delegates procedures for experiments.
• Analyzes results of experiments independently.
• Prepares oral and written reports for the PI on research including abstracts, manuscripts, grants and data reports for grants and meetings.
• Performs routine and more difficult procedures, analyzes data and presents results in presentations and manuscripts.
