Job summary

Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. in Frederick, MD seeks a Scientific Data Analyst II - VICD to manage large immunological datasets and perform data analyses in support of clinical studies. This is an onsite position with no telework.

Candidates should have a Master’s in Statistics, Computational Sciences, or Data Sciences, 2+ years of data analysis experience, and skills in R or SAS, and Python, R, or MATLAB for biomedical analyses.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Statistics, Computational Sciences, or Data Sciences.
• Minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in data analyses.
• Strong knowledge of statistics and scientific data analyses.
• Experience with databases containing large data sets.
• Statistical programming in R and SAS.
• Experience in evaluation of assay performance with appropriate statistical trend analysis.
• Experience with data management systems and data transfer from different platforms.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage databases to support large-scale immunological datasets.
• Perform data review for completeness, accuracy, and quality standards.
• Validate templates used for data acquisition and analysis.
• Conduct complex data analyses, data QC, and data interpretation.
• Automate data collection and analysis processes for efficiency and reproducibility.
• Prepare procedures manuals for data collection and analyses.
• Analyze data to identify biomarker trends and visualize results.
• Provide study design guidance including power calculations and statistical methods.
