Job summary

Beeline Medicines is seeking a Medical Director, Clinical Development to lead medical leadership across multiple immunology programs. You will shape study design, safety oversight, and regulatory deliverables while collaborating with cross-functional partners in a fast-paced biotech setting.

Qualifications

• Advanced clinical degree (MD or DO) required; board certification in rheumatology, nephrology, immunology, or related specialty strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of combined clinical and pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience.
• Direct experience treating or managing lupus (SLE/CLE) and/or systemic sclerosis programs strongly preferred.
• Deep scientific expertise in autoimmune disease, immunology, and inflammation.
• Experience with phase 1-3 clinical studies and regulatory documents.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced biotech/pharma environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical oversight for assigned clinical trials including protocol development, study conduct, monitoring, data interpretation, and CSR preparation.
• Contribute to clinical development strategy and regulatory submissions by integrating scientific rationale, safety considerations, feasibility, and business objectives.
• Provide medical leadership on trial design, endpoints, eligibility criteria, dose rationale, and biomarker strategy.
• Monitor real-time data collection and ensure protocol adherence across sites.
• Support pharmacovigilance activities and safety governance in coordination with PV leads.
• Serve as a key medical resource for investigators and external advisors, supporting advisory boards and scientific communications.
• Lead scientific exchanges with KMEs, investigators, and HCPs to inform development strategy.
• Review and contribute to protocols, ICFs, clinical study reports, and agency responses.
