Job summary

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers in Jacksonville, FL seeks an Immunohematology Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our lifesaving team. The role requires ASCP/AAB/AMT certification with immunohematology, a BSC in a clinical/biological science, and comfort with blood banking.

Shift options include Day (Wed-Sat 7:00–5:30) or five 8-hour shifts, and Overnight with 4–5 eight-/ten-hour shifts. Relocation bonus available; differential pay applies to evenings/overnights.

Qualifications

• National certification as MT/CLS/MLS with ASCP, AAB or AMT, including immunohematology.
• Familiarity with blood banking.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support lifesaving patient care by resolving complex immunohematology and compatibility issues in our full-service, accredited Immunohematology Reference Laboratory.
• Resolve complex immunohematology and compatibility issues to ensure the safest blood for patients.
• Deliver excellent customer service.
