Job summary

Pfizer is seeking a Scientist to assist in the lab-based development and qualification of ligand binding immunoassays for detecting antibodies to novel vaccine candidates. You will test pre-clinical and clinical sera, generate reagents, perform assays, and contribute to reports under GLP/GCLP guidelines.

Ideal candidates have strong immunology/microbiology background and experience with data analysis, in a fast-paced team setting. Relocation support and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• BA/BS with 6–8 years of experience or MBA/MS with 4–6 years.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize work assignments.
• Aid in the design, planning and execution of experiments, analyze and interpret scientific data.
• Strong background in immunology and microbiology (bacteriology or virology).
• Proficiency in using appropriate software for data analysis.
• Excellent organization and planning skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, whether working independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in lab-based development and qualification of ligand binding immunoassays for detection of antibodies to novel candidate vaccines.
• Test pre-clinical and clinical sera samples; generate and characterize reagents.
• Perform experiments for development and qualification of assays and ensure throughput for studies.
• Write procedures and reports; ensure GLP/GCLP compliant work when required.
