Job summary
AstraZeneca is seeking an early-career Scientist to join the Cellular Resilience team in the United States, contributing to early discovery research at the intersection of gene delivery and cell therapy. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in Immune cell engineering, functional assay development, and synthetic biology to help develop the next generation of cellular therapies.
Responsibilities include engineering cell lines and primary immune cells by viral and non-viral
Qualifications
- BS/MS with 5+ years or PhD with 0+ years in a relevant field including molecular biology, synthetic biology, Immunology, Biomedical engineering.
- Hands-on experience culturing and engineering established cell lines and primary human immune cells with viral or non-viral methods.
- Experience with immune functional assays such as cytotoxicity, co-cultures, proliferation, and cytokine measurement.
Responsibilities
- Engineer cell lines and primary immune cells using viral and non-viral techniques.
- Develop high-throughput in vitro cellular assays with multicolor flow cytometry, plate readers, ELISA/MSD, qPCR.
- Analyze complex data and present results to internal and external stakeholders.
