Job summary

Catholic Charities, Archdiocese of New York seeks a Staff Attorney to provide direct immigration legal services under the ONA contract across Orange, Rockland, Sullivan and Ulster counties, with duties in the Immigration Legal Services office in the Bronx region.

The role requires a JD, bar admission, and bilingual communication skills to represent clients in complex cases, trainings and community outreach. Travel and flexible hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree is required.
• Admission to the bar of any state or DC; NY bar preferred.
• Bilingual ability in English and another language is required.

Responsibilities

• Advise, counsel and represent individuals in immigrant and non-immigrant matters.
• Provide services across Orange, Rockland, Sullivan and Ulster counties and support ONA centers.
• Maintain case files and prepare monthly statistics and reports.
• Deliver trainings and Know-Your-Rights workshops and participate in legal clinics.
