Qualifications

• J.D. and licensed to practice law in any state; law clerk candidates may be awaiting bar results
• Strong written and oral communication skills are essential
• Excellent coordination and organizational abilities to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Provide consultations to screen and counsel potential clients for immigration relief
• Prepare and monitor applications for immigration relief (Adjustment of Status, family-based petitions, waivers, U visas, T visas, VAWA, U.S. Juvenile Status, DACA, Naturalization, Asylum)
• Represent clients in removal proceedings before EOIR in relevant asylum/withholding/cancellation of removal matters
• Participate in pro-se asylum workshops for Afghan parolees
• Maintain case files per office procedures using case management software
