Job summary

The New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC) seeks a Staff Attorney to provide direct immigration services and supervise a small team across New York State. The role emphasizes trauma-informed, ethical practice and collaboration with partners to serve vulnerable immigrant communities.

Requirements include New York admission, 1–3 years of immigration experience, and bilingual English-Spanish capability. Regular travel and in-person field work are expected.

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney admitted to practice in New York.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct limited-scope immigration legal services (asylum, SIJS, TPS, EOIR filings).
• Supervise Senior Paralegals, Paralegals, and Legal Assistants; oversee quality of work.
• Coordinate legal services across NY State and engage with partner organizations.
• Draft and review training materials and community-facing documents.
