Job description

Social Justice Collaborative is looking for an Immigration Staff Attorney to join our legal team.

We're a California-based nonprofit defending the rights of low-income immigrants, primarily Central American community members fighting deportation. Each year, we represent hundreds of people in asylum cases, removal proceedings, and other immigration matters.

This is a hybrid position (Bay Area preferred) with both remote flexibility and in-person responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in asylum, U/T visa, VAWA, and SIJS matters
• Appear before EOIR, USCIS, and California state courts
• Attend hearings, ERO check-ins, and USCIS interviews
• Work collaboratively with our legal team on complex cases

Salary: $70,000–$100,000/year, depending on experience and location, plus full benefits including health, dental, vision, 401(k) match, paid parental leave, bar dues, and more.
