The University of Pittsburgh's University Center for International Studies seeks an Immigration Specialist to support F-1 and J-1 students, handling guidance and case processing. Hybrid on-campus and remote work is available.
The role coordinates with faculty and departments to ensure lawful immigration status, maintains SEVIS and other records, and prepares reports for government agencies. Two years of experience and a Bachelor's degree are required.
This position services as immigration advisor for students in F and J status, providing accurate information and guidance, and processing applicable casework. Serves as liaison between the University and government agencies and as a resource for the University. Works closely with administrative contacts in departments across campus to ensure compliance for both the students and the University.
Facilitates legal immigration applications and processes and serves as liaison between the University and government agencies and as a resource for the University. Ensures accurate document processing and the University's compliance. Performs international credential evaluations for the admissions process.
Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
