Job summary

Samper Law in Massachusetts is seeking an Immigration Paralegal to join our team. This role supports complex employment-based and family-based matters, with a focus on precision, efficiency, and collaboration with HR and clients.

The candidate will draft petitions, manage PERM processes, handle USCIS forms, and perform detailed legal research. A Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate and at least 2 years of immigration experience are required.

Qualifications

  • Experience: minimum 2 years substantive experience as a Paralegal in Immigration Law.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate preferred.
  • Languages: English required; additional languages highly preferred.
  • Attributes: extremely professional, disciplined, and detail-oriented.
  • Compensation: starting salary $62,000 plus incentives.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, prepare, and manage complex employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions (including H-1B, L-1A/B, TN, O-1, E-2, EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, and I-140s).
  • Manage LCAs, PWRs, and all phases of the PERM Labor Certification process.
  • Draft USCIS forms for family-based and humanitarian matters including Adjustment of Status, U-Visas, VAWA, and Naturalization.
  • Serve as a point of contact for HR representatives, corporate stakeholders, and foreign national employees.
  • Conduct thorough research on country conditions, statutes, and case law; draft support letters, declarations, affidavits, and RFE responses.
  • Manage deadlines, expiration dates, calendars, and docketing with absolute accuracy.
  • Assist in Family, Criminal, and Civil Litigation matters as needed.

Core Responsibilities
  • Business & Employment-Based Immigration

  • Legal Research & Writing
    • Conduct thorough research on country conditions, corporate structures, statutes, and case law. Draft support letters, declarations, affidavits, and RFE responses.
  • Operational Efficiency
    • Manage deadlines, expiration dates, calendars, and docketing with absolute accuracy.
  • Cross-Practice Support
    • While the focus is Immigration, candidates with capacity to assist in Family, Criminal, and Civil Litigation matters are regarded as strategic assets.
