Job summary

Sanabria & Associates, PLLC is seeking an Immigration Paralegal to support all phases of the immigration process. You will draft and file forms with USCIS and the Immigration Court, while working closely with supervising attorneys to ensure high-quality client service.

Responsibilities include preparing applications, drafting affidavits, managing deadlines, and using case-management software. A bilingual capability in Spanish and English is required, with at least one year of immigration

Qualifications

  • Must be bilingual (Spanish and English).
  • Minimum education: college education or equivalent.
  • Immigration paralegal experience: 1+ year preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file USCIS applications (family-based petitions, adjustment of status, waivers, naturalization, U-visas).
  • Prepare and file immigration court applications (asylum, cancellation of removal).
  • Draft motions for immigration court proceedings (venue changes, consolidation, substitute counsel).
  • Communicate with clients to gather evidence and information.

A successful candidate will be able to assist during all phases of the immigration process and willing to provide a high-quality level of client support. You will prepare and file several forms with different immigration agencies and work closely with the supervising attorneys. We offer on-the-job training and several other industry leading benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Preparing and filing applications with USCIS, including but not limited to family-based petitions, adjustment of status, provisional waivers, naturalization, and U-Visas.
  • Preparing and filing applications with the Immigration Court, with high emphasis on asylum and cancellation of removal applications.
  • Drafting motions for filing with the Immigration Court, such as Motions to Change Venue, Motions to Consolidate, Motions to Substitute Counsel, etc.
  • Communicating with clients to gather evidence and information in support of their case
  • Drafting affidavits with clients in support of their case
  • Electronically file applications and requests with different immigration agencies, including but not limited to: FOIA requests with USCIS, and electronic filing of applications and motions with the Immigration Court
  • Organizing and managing case deadlines
  • Enter information, documents, and notes into case management software
Requirements

Bilingual (Spanish and English)

Minimum Education: College Education or equivalent

Immigration Paralegal experience (At least 1 year of experience)

Pay Range

$50,000 - $60,000 per year
