Job summary

Vermont Law and Graduate School (VLGS) invites applications for a three-year Immigration Law Fellowship (ILF) running from 2026 to 2029. The Fellow will join the Center for Justice Reform Clinic in South Royalton, VT, delivering legal services to noncitizen clients and expanding access to justice through innovative projects.

The role requires 1–4 years of relevant experience, Vermont Bar admission (or waiver eligibility), and a strong commitment to public interest lawyering.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of relevant legal experience.
• Admitted to the Vermont Bar or eligible for licensure waiver.
• Demonstrated commitment to public interest lawyering.
• Writing, editing, organizational, and managerial skills.
• Multilingual language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver legal services to noncitizen clients within CJRC.
• Develop and deliver projects to broadly improve access to justice for low-income Vermonters.
• Collaborate with VLGS, Vermont Legal Aid, and regional partners on Fellowship projects.
• Publicize Fellowship activities and participate in continuing legal education.
