The Inland Coalition for Immigrant Justice (IC4IJ) seeks a Staff Attorney to provide high-quality, community-centered immigration legal representation across the Inland Empire, focusing on removal defense, detention, and access to counsel. The role works with DOJ-accredited representatives, organizers, and partners to defend immigrants facing detention and deportation and to expand access to justice.

• JD required and active California Bar membership preferred; must obtain by May 2027 if not yet admitted.
• Fluency or high proficiency in Spanish.
• Strong legal research, writing, oral advocacy, communication, and case-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and priorities independently and collaboratively.

Responsabilidades

• Represent detained and non-detained individuals in removal proceedings before immigration courts and on related hearings.
• Handle affirmative immigration matters before USCIS and other agencies; include Special Immigrant Juvenile Status where applicable.
• Possibly participate in federal litigation, including habeas petitions and petitions for review.
• Manage all aspects of assigned cases, including client counseling, research, strategy, filings, and court appearances.
• Maintain regular communication with clients and ensure accurate case files and ethical compliance.
