Immigration Case Specialist (Post-L-140 & Adjustment of Status)

Job Description:

We are looking for an Immigration Case Specialist with a strong background in U.S. immigration procedures, specifically post-L-140 approval. The role primarily focuses on handling the consular processing and adjustment of status following L-140 approval, addressing complex issues related to both the consular and adjustment processes. While a legal license is not required, previous experience as an immigration attorney is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Post-L-140 Consular Processing: Resolve issues encountered during the consular process, including administrative processing, visa interviews, and other related challenges.
  • Adjustment of Status Issues: Handle issues arising after the approval of the L-140, including difficulties with the I-485 submission and related procedural issues.
  • Problem Solving: Address complex, unusual, or niche problems that arise during the L-140 and I-485 processes, including troubleshooting and finding solutions to unique case challenges.
  • Client Communication: Work directly with clients to provide updates, assist with required documentation, and resolve any issues that may arise during the immigration process.
  • Documentation and Filings: Ensure all required documents are accurately completed and filed in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience handling U.S. immigration cases, particularly after the approval of L-140.
  • Strong understanding of consular processing and adjustment of status procedures.
  • Previous experience as an immigration attorney is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to address and resolve complex and niche issues.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.

Compensation:

  • Compensation will be case-based, depending on experience.

Work Location: This is a remote position, offering flexibility to work from home.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 12 per week
