At Ellis Porter, our goal is to improve the immigration experience for employers and individuals so they can thrive in a smaller world. To do this, we've built a team of dedicated immigration professionals (we call ourselves Porters) who believe passionately in the economic and cultural benefits that immigration provides to America, and who excel at providing our clients with refreshingly clear guidance, uniquely creative strategies, and remarkably responsive service, all with genuine empathy and a personal touch.

Immigration law is very complex and full of constant challenges, but the Ellis Porter team embraces the grind because we love what we do, and who we do it with, and we find great satisfaction in knowing that our work positively, and intimately, impacts our clients’ lives and companies.

Our Culture

We're also immensely proud of (and protective of) our culture at Ellis Porter. It's not what you would expect from a typical law firm, because we're not a typical law firm. We take our work seriously, but not ourselves. We don't tolerate drama, and jerks are not allowed. And we’ve built a wonderfully diverse team of Porters who reflect the diversity of the clients we serve.

As our team continues to grow, we’ve remained committed to cultivating an inspiring, authentic, comfortable, and flexible work environment where you are respected, encouraged to bring your whole self to work, and challenged to continue your growth as a professional in the immigration legal field.

As an Immigration Case Manager on our Ellis Porter US Expansion Team (Based in the United Kingdom), you will be part of a team of Attorneys and Case Managers that help our global clients located in the UK & EU navigate the US immigration system. You will work on immigration matters related to nonimmigrant visas (primarily E-2 & L-1). We're looking for someone who is business-minded and excited to assist our clients in the UK and EU to expand their businesses to the US, helping them achieve their strategic and professional goals - it's truly rewarding work. This role can be based in either the US or in London, UK.

  • Support Attorneys in the preparation of responses to Requests for Evidence issued by government agencies
  • Log client-related and case-related information into our immigration case management system and ensure all client records are accurate and updated
  • Track the ongoing case status of client applications and update Attorneys and clients of case progress
  • Communicate with clients and their employees regarding case-related matters both independently and in collaboration with your team’s Attorneys
What Skills And Experience You’ll Bring
  • 3+ years of experience working in the immigration field as an Immigration Case Manager or Paralegal, including experience with E-2 and L-1 visas
  • Residence in the Eastern Time Zone in the United States (due to client location in the UK & EU)
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a busy caseload efficiently, meeting legal deadlines
  • Effective collaboration with team members
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail, organization, emotional intelligence, and empathy
  • Customer service orientation with pride in delivering responsive, proactive client service
  • Passion for the immigration field
