Job summary

Legal Aid of Southeast and Central Ohio (LASCO) seeks an attorney with immigration law experience to advance our pro bono program and clinics in Columbus. You will partner with immigrant-serving organizations, mentor other lawyers, and may provide limited representation on cases requiring language access and various immigration petitions.

Requirements include a JD from an accredited law school and Ohio Bar admission (or eligible to waive).

Qualifications

• Must have demonstrated experience practicing immigration law and handling related cases.
• Strong advocacy, analytical, and communication abilities are essential.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in immigration matters before local, state, appellate and federal courts and agencies.
• Mentor and support the pro bono immigration caseload and related outreach.
• Engage in community education and outreach on immigration law issues.
• Participate in clinics, events, and statewide advocacy with other attorneys.
