Job Title: Immigration Attorney - Legal Analysis

Job Overview:

A distinguished law firm based in San Juan, PR, is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney specializing in legal file analysis. This opportunity, presented by a leading legal recruiting agency, focuses on reviewing and analyzing immigration documents obtained through Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. The attorney will assess client histories, identify potential immigration relief, and recommend case strategies. Duties:
  1. Examine immigration files received through FOIA requests to determine potential avenues for relief.
  2. Conduct detailed screenings of client records to evaluate eligibility for immigration benefits.
  3. Manage a high-volume docket with precision and timeliness.
  4. Prepare clear, comprehensive recommendations for subsequent legal action.
  5. Coordinate with attorneys and legal support staff to ensure meticulous file reviews.

Requirements:
  1. Minimum of 3-5 years practicing immigration law.
  2. Ability to analyze complex immigration records and legal documents.
  3. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
  4. Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload efficiently.
  5. Licensed and in good standing with the bar of any U.S. jurisdiction.
  6. Knowledge across various areas of immigration law, including family-based applications, asylum, and removal defense.
  7. Strong written and oral communication capabilities.
Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Active Bar membership in any U.S. state or territory.
