Job summary

Catholic Charities of Central Texas is seeking an immigration attorney to manage case load and provide legal representation for immigrants before USCIS and EOIR. You will perform thorough consultations, draft briefs, and coordinate with partners to achieve favorable outcomes.

The role requires a JD and Texas license, with experience before EOIR/USCIS, and the ability to work in a faith-based, fast-paced environment. Travel across a 25-county region may be required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of immigration laws and procedures.
• Experience in EOIR and USCIS representation (minimum 2 years).
• JD and active Texas license to practice immigration law.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely legal consultations on immigration cases and assess eligibility for benefits.
• Represent clients before USCIS, EOIR, and state courts when necessary.
• Develop case strategies, draft briefs/affidavits, and manage high-volume caseloads.
• Mentor staff, assign work, and peer-review cases.
• Participate in trainings and workshops and collaborate with Catholic Charities teams.
