Job summary

Distro is seeking an Immigration Attorney with at least 3 years of immigration experience to join our high-volume team in Maryland. The role offers both full-time and contract arrangements and focuses on family-based and employment-based petitions and related immigration matters. The ideal candidate holds a J.D.

from an accredited law school, active Maryland or Virginia bar status, and proficiency with immigration case management systems. Spanish is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Bar license in Maryland or Virginia (active and in good standing).
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in immigration law.
• Technologically proficient; experience with immigration law platforms and case management systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file a variety of immigration petitions and applications, including: Family-based and employment-based petitions, Adjustment of Status, Naturalization/Citizenship, NACARA, TPS, Asylum, and Waivers.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of immigration laws and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with clients to gather documentation and provide updates.
• Represent clients in interviews or appointments before USCIS, ICE, CBP, Immigration Courts (non-litigation appearances).

Position Summary

A high-volume, fast-paced immigration law firm is seeking a knowledgeable Immigration Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience in immigration law. This position is available on a full-time or contract basis, depending on the candidate's availability and background. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about helping individuals and families navigate the U.S. immigration process.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare and file a variety of immigration petitions and applications, including: Family-based and employment-based petitions Adjustment of Status o Naturalization/Citizenship NACARA, TPS, Asylum, and Waivers Immigrant and non-immigrant visas PERM, EB-5, H-1B
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of immigration laws and regulations
• Communicate effective with clients to gather documentation and provide updates
• Prepare for and represent clients in interviews or appointments before: USCIS ICE CBP Immigration Courts (non-litigation appearances only)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage case deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bilingual skills (especially Spanish) a plus, but not require
