Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking a dedicated and motivated Bilingual Immigration Associate Attorney to join their team. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong foundation in immigration law or a desire to grow in this field. The ideal candidate should be bilingual in English and Spanish, possess a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree, and hold a valid Bar license. As an Immigration Associate Attorney, the candidate will be involved in representing clients, preparing legal documents, and conducting immigration hearings, all while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Location:
  • Fitchburg, WI
Duties:
  1. Prepare filings for immigration court and applications for the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
  2. Represent clients at bond, master, and merits hearings in immigration court.
  3. Conduct and represent clients during USCIS interviews.
  4. Perform client intakes and assessments.
  5. Write legal briefs and perform extensive legal research.
  6. Assist fellow attorneys with case management to ensure proper handling of individual caseloads.
Requirements:
  1. Fluent in both English and Spanish.
  2. 1 year of experience in Immigration law (preferred but not required).
  3. Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage an individual caseload effectively.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
  5. Ability to manage time effectively and stay organized.
  6. Self-motivated and driven to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
Education:
  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
  • Bar License from any U.S. state.
