Qualifications : Minimum 3-5 years as a UX designer, UI designer or similar experience. Minimum 2 years experience designing mixed reality, VR, desktop, mobile or web applications. Expert knowledge of user-centered design principles. Knowledge and use of user testing to lead successful design and implementation. Demonstrable mastery of design tools (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, InVision). Strong portfolio of previous work related to the design of immersive, interactive experiences. Ability to prototype ideas in Adobe Suite and/or Unity. Deep experience (and passion) with AR, MR, or spatial computing platforms. Experience shipping augmented or mixed reality solutions (preferably enterprise). Effective cross-discipline communicator and collaborator. Experience designing interfaces for products shipped to Oculus Quest, Microsoft Hololens, and/or Magic Leap One platforms. Proficiency in Unity 3D, 1+ years working with Unity game engine. Understanding of data structures, 3D math, C#, and Unity asset and build pipeline. Knowledge of Unity development best practices (prefabs, asset naming, organized scene hierarchy). Ability to work remotely in a geographically distributed, Agile environment.

Your Role at BadVR : We are seeking an Immersive UX / UI Designer who is passionate about creating captivating, accessible user interfaces in VR. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and experience with Unity and mobile platforms. You will collaborate with engineers, artists, marketing, and product teams to design and implement immersive, intuitive user experiences. Your work will influence the future of our platform, from concept to deployment, advocating for usability and accessibility throughout the process.
Responsibilities : Communicate UX concepts through stories, sketches, wireframes, flow diagrams, mockups, and prototypes. Justify design decisions, advocate for user needs, and create interactive demos. Interpret complex ideas into simple, beautiful interfaces. Design and develop 3D UI concepts with real-time motion effects. Work closely with development teams to implement interactive menus and HUDs. Innovate and contribute original ideas across all aspects of product design. Source and create assets for UX features. Demonstrate professionalism, self-management, and excellent communication skills. Collaborate across cultures and time zones.
Bonus Points : Experience with JIRA, Confluence, data products, enterprise products, traveling, and a passion for arts and culture.

Salary ranges from $65,000 to $75,000 annually, with benefits including health, vision, dental, life and disability insurance, PTO, stock options, bonuses, and more. This is a full-time, remote position requiring availability during PST hours, with occasional weekend work.
