Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in exhibit design or related field; equivalent professional experience considered.
Strong portfolio showing conceptual thinking and hands-on or experiential design.
Experience creating visitor-centered environments and interactive exhibits.
Strong sketching, visualization, layout, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Serve as a primary point of contact for clients.
Develop exhibit concepts transforming client content into engaging experiences.
Create sketches, mood boards, layouts, renderings, and presentation materials.
Design hands-on interactives that are intuitive, durable, and safe.
Collaborate with design and fabrication teams throughout the process.
Support master planning, schematic design, and production documentation.
Integrate learning goals, visitor flow, accessibility, and materials into designs.
Prepare design documentation with plans, elevations, details, and fabrication notes.
Participate in client presentations and design reviews.
Prototype, test, and refine ideas for usability and impact.
Coordinate with fabrication partners to balance budget and constructability.
Review shop drawings and installed conditions for consistency.
Stay current on museum and exhibit design trends.
