Job summary
VAI Resort seeks a Director of Entertainment Design Technology to lead the creative-technical vision for guest experiences across our resort environments.
You will bridge storytelling with technology, guiding teams through concept, design reviews, and live operation to deliver immersive shows, attractions, and interactive experiences. A deep passion for people-first, emotionally impactful tech is essential.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in entertainment production design or a related field.
- Experience with large-scale audio, video, lighting, and entertainment systems.
- Proven ability to lead technology solutions for live entertainment, immersive experiences, or attractions.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a design consultant and technology thought partner to the Entertainment organization.
- Translate concepts into immersive, emotionally resonant technology strategies.
- Identify emerging technologies to create differentiated guest experiences.
- Guide the application of audio, lighting, video, LED, projection, media servers, show control, automation, networking, and other entertainment tech.
- Oversee immersive media, installations, and tech-driven entertainment environments.
- Contribute to design reviews, mockups, rehearsals, and commissioning activities.
