Job summary

Apple, Inc. in Cupertino, CA seeks a Tools & Automation Engineer to build automated test infrastructure for the full Apple Spatial Audio Format and Apple Positional Audio Codec software deliverables across plug-ins, SDKs, and OS components.

You will design regression suites, integrate them into CI, and develop scripted validation to verify output across releases, collaborating with codec/format teams and third-party developers.

Qualifications

• Proficient with professional digital audio workstations and audio toolchain.
• Experience mixing immersive or spatial audio content.
• Proficient in one or more scripting/programming languages and able to read/debug application code.
• Experience designing and maintaining automated test infrastructure, including regression suites and CI integration.
• BS or MS in CS, EE, Audio Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Beyond test infrastructure, develop ancillary tools for content creators and onboard engineers and partners; prepare and run demos for leadership and the community.
