Qualifications

• Two years ABA experience in a public school or related setting.
• RBT certification or equivalent education credits completed within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide a highly structured approach based on behavioral principles.
• Run programs targeting academic, communication, motor, social and daily living skills.
• Collect data and record progress of skill acquisition.
• Graph daily progress and track outcomes for each program.
• Help students generalize learned skills into general education settings.
• Implement play plans and facilitate social interactions during unstructured times.
• Gather student work as directed by the special education teacher.
• Prepare materials for educational programs and behavior charts as requested.
• Address behaviors such as aggression, non-compliance and inattention with approved protocols.
• Maintain crisis prevention certification and assist with restraints as needed.
• Consult with special and general education staff and attend required meetings.
• Complete daily home communication logs.

Education

Associate’s Degree or 48 college credits
