Wayne County Schools Career Center (OH) is seeking a Substitute High School Academic Teacher covering English, History, Math, Science, and CTE. Starting date is immediate, with district orientation and onboarding procedures.

Applicants must hold an Ohio Teaching or Substitute Teaching License, or apply for the Ohio Substitute Teaching License. Background checks (BCI & FBI) are required, with fees disclosed, and PSW training is mandatory for all substitutes.

Qualifications

• Valid Ohio teaching or substitute license required; provide a copy.
• Applicants without license must apply for Ohio Substitute Teaching License.
• Background check (BCI & FBI) required; performed at Tri-County ESC for $75.
• All substitutes must complete Public School Works (PSW) training; compensation for up to 3 hours.
• Board approval follows licensure and training.

Responsibilities

• Teach high school subjects as a substitute across English, History, Math, Science, and CTE.
• Attend orientation and onsite training session.
• Be placed on the substitute list and access Frontline Absence Management (Aesop).
