Job summary

ReaderLink is seeking a warehouse/material handler to support high-volume distribution operations in our Salem, VA facility. You will perform inbound/outbound shipments, operate scanning devices, and move goods within the warehouse while following detailed instructions and safety policies.

The role requires good communication, basic math skills, and the ability to work at different stations in a fast-paced setting. Teamwork, reliability, and adherence to procedures are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse or material handling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate well with internal customers and management.
• Follow detailed instructions and be detail oriented.
• Use tablets, radios, and scanners in daily tasks.
• Perform basic math quickly and accurately.
• Adhere to safety policies and safety programs.
• Read labels, tickets and product documentation clearly.
• Become proficient with WMS, RF and voice directed picking.
• Maintain general housekeeping in the work area.
• Report accidents, injuries, near misses and hazards immediately to management.
• Process inbound and outbound shipments as needed.
• Assist in other production areas and rotate through stations as needed.
• Work safely and in compliance with procedures.
• Operate with minimal supervision in a fast-paced distribution environment.
• Be dependable and flexible across production areas.
• Meet production standards within set timeframes.
• Demonstrate quality and accuracy in material handling.
• Move product by hand or with pallet jack to/from Production areas.
• Move materials to/from loading docks, trucks, storage, and order processing areas.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

• Assists in other facets of production as needed and works at different workstations as production needs require.

Qualifications

• One year general warehouse/material handler experience preferred but not necessary.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand and walk up 8 to 10 hours a day.


• Must be able repetitively reach up and out.


• Must be able push/pull up to 25 pounds repeatedly and occasionally push/pull up to 75 Lbs.


• Will frequently lift up to 50 Lbs. and occasionally up to 75 Lbs.
