Job summary

Assisting Hands Home Care in Odessa is seeking compassionate in-home caregivers to provide personal care, homemaking, and companionship for elderly and disabled clients in their own homes. The role includes basic daily living assistance, light housekeeping, meal prep, transportation help, and medication reminders.

Requirements include being 18+, reliable transportation, ability to work with diverse clients, background check clearance, and completed or available CPR/First Aid and relevant

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to pass a Level II Background Check.
• TB screening with on-site testing available.
• CPR and First Aid Certification recommended.
• Alzheimer's / Dementia Certification recommended.
• HIV / AIDS Certification recommended.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and homemaking services for clients in their homes.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, dressing and personal hygiene as needed.
• Monitor safety and provide supervision within the home.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks (laundry, sweeping, mopping).
• Assist with ambulation and transferring.
• Schedule and assist with doctor appointments and errands.
• Grocery shopping and online shopping assistance.
• Prepare meals.
• Provide companionship and support with personal goals.
• Give friendly medication reminders.

We are looking for compassionate and dedicated IN HOME Caregivers to provide a combination of personal care, homemaking, and companion services for our clients. Be a trusted caregiver in ensuring clients feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in the place they love most—their home.

Job duties include:

• Provide care for the elderly and/or disabled adults with developmental disabilities in the privacy of their own homes.
• Personal Care Assistance (must be ok with: bathing, toileting, dressing and personal hygiene)
• Monitor clients safety within the home/Supervision
• Light Housekeeping (sweeping, mopping, taking out trash, laundry, etc.)
• Ambulation and Transferring Assistance
• Transportation - Assist with scheduling a transport to doctor appointments/run errands
• Grocery Shopping / Assisting with online shopping
• Meal Preparation
• Companionship
• Assist with the clients personal goals!
• Provide friendly medication reminders!

Job Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Have reliable form of transportation
• Must be able to work with male and female clients
• Must be able to pass a Level II Background Check

• Proof of a Negative Tuberculosis (TB) Screening
• We have staff on site available to administer a TB Skin test
