Job summary

Ballard Marine Construction is seeking a Commercial Diver/Tender for an upcoming Pearl Harbor project in Hawaii with mobilization in August. The initial assignment is three to four weeks, with potential for longer-term opportunities, including travel to North America for other regions.

The role covers dive tending, equipment setup and maintenance, dredging, jetting, and underwater inspections. Strong safety, teamwork, and flexible travel are required for demanding marine environments.

Qualifications

Required: Diploma from ADCE Compliant Commercial Dive School.
Must hold ADCI Certification for the diving performed.
Current ADCI Compliant Dive Physical.
Current First Aid/CPR/AED/O2 administration certifications.
OSHA 10 Hour - Construction.
Valid Driver’s License with clean record.

Responsibilities

Perform commercial diving and tending assignments as directed by Dive Supervisor.
Support dredging, jetting, pressure washing, inspections, rigging, salvage, and other underwater construction activities.
Set up, inspect, maintain, and break down commercial diving and construction equipment.
Operate hand, power, pneumatic, hydraulic, and cutting tools as trained.
Participate in pre-dive planning and daily safety discussions.
Follow Ballard procedures, project requirements, ADCI standards, and Dive Supervisor direction.
Work closely with divers, tenders, and project personnel to maintain safe operations.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support project needs.
