Job description

Join to apply for the Immediate Care Technician - Immediate Care Center Huntley Casual Days role at Northwestern Medicine.

This is a casual position at the Huntley clinic, requiring a minimum of three shifts in a 6-week period (including 1 weekend shift and 2 weekday shifts), with at least 1 shift per pay period. Shifts are 12 hours from 7:45 am to 8:15 pm. Floating to other clinics may be required. Must be a CMA or EMT.

The Immediate Care Technician supports physicians and advanced practice providers by facilitating patient flow, assisting with patient care activities, and performing administrative functions. Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, assisting with procedures, maintaining safety and cleanliness, and promoting patient satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Proof of eligibility for certification exams (e.g., CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA, EMT)
  • Certification required upon hire
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • Strong computer skills

Preferred:

  • Experience with electronic medical records
  • Interest in healthcare field
  • 1-2 years ambulatory care experience
