Job summary

Northwestern Medicine has an exciting opportunity for either a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant to work in our Immediate Care Clinics.

Shift options include 3x12s or 2x12s with rotating weekends and holidays; no nights; on-call required. Locations include Orland Park and other NMH Immediate Care Clinics. This position emphasizes collaboration, evidence-based practice, and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing or accredited PA program.
• Illinois RN license and APRN/PA licensure; DEA eligibility.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive health assessments including histories and physical exams.
• Prescribes medications and orders tests per privileges; interprets results.
• Collaborates with physicians and other health professionals in care areas.
• Provides patient education and participates in quality improvement and research as appropriate.

Education

Master’s degree in nursing or accredited Physician Assistant program

Current Illinois RN license; APRN license; DEA/CS eligibility

BLS certification (AHA)
