Job Description

Northwestern Medicine is currently seeking physicians, board certified or eligible in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine, to join our existing Immediate Care Center clinics.

This position will rotate across Immediate Care Center locations in the Northern Suburbs (Northern Cook and Lake County), including Glenview, Vernon Hills, Deerfield, Gurnee, and Lake Bluff.

Responsibilities:
  1. Treat patients at NMG Immediate Care Centers, office locations, and healthcare facilities as determined by the President of NMG or his/her designee.
  2. Maintain a clinical schedule with such days, hours, and locations necessary to provide timely and comprehensive medical services to NMG patients.
  3. Teach medical residents, fellows, medical students, nurses, and other healthcare providers as required by NMG.
  4. Provide on-call coverage as reasonably required by NMG.
  5. Refer patients requiring specialized care to specialists and other healthcare providers within NMG's network, ensuring patient preferences, insurer determinations, and medical interests are considered.
  6. Participate regularly in practice unit meetings and quality assurance activities.
  7. Ensure compliance with billing, documentation, and related policies, procedures, systems, and practices established by NMG.
  8. Perform other duties consistent with employment and as assigned by the President or his/her designee.

Qualifications: Doctoral degree required.
