Job summary

Intermountain Education Service District is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist Assistant to support student health services. The PTA will implement intervention plans under the Physical Therapist's direction and collaborate with staff to monitor progress and outcomes.

The role emphasizes safety, confidentiality, punctuality, and consistent communication with the PT and school team to ensure timely, appropriate care for students.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Physical Therapy Assistant Certification.
• Experience with children preferred.
• Valid Oregon Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• The Physical Therapy Assistant works under direct supervision of the Physical Therapist to plan and carry out activities and intervention programs for student/child needs.
• Consult with the Physical Therapist and staff regarding student progress and care.
• Use the PT's evaluation results to guide interventions and meet care goals.

PRIMARY ROLE

The Certified Physical Therapy Assistant works under direct supervision of the Physical Therapist. Using the Physical Therapist's evaluation results and under the Physical Therapist's general direction, the Physical Therapy Assistant plans and carries out activities and intervention programs to meet student/child needs. The Physical Therapy Assistant will consult with the Physical Therapist, and staff regarding student progress and care.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in each responsibility and essential function of the position. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Individual will hold a valid driver's license and have reliable, insured transportation. If selected for the position, individual will complete a pre-employment background check.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/EXPERIENCE

• Physical Therapy Assistant Certification
• Experience working with children preferred
• Valid Oregon Drivers License
