Job description

JOB SUMMARY

The Quality Analyst is responsible for managing various aspects of the medical file review process. They will review completed referrals to ensure client questions are addressed appropriately and verify report accuracy, ensuring client and department standards are met.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality Audits

  • Review reports accompanying medical records to ensure completeness and that all client questions are addressed.
  • Follow up with reviewers for additional questions or clarifications.
  • Communicate with clients regarding any additional questions.
  • Update clients frequently on referral progress.
  • Ensure reports are grammatically correct and free of spelling errors.
  • Verify each referral adheres to the QA checklist before completion.
  • Format reports for approval.

Communication

  • Communicate clearly and concisely with customers, reviewers, and the Operations team.
  • Confidently discuss peer review content with physicians and clients.

Perform other duties and special projects as assigned based on business needs.

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:

An Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.

JOB RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

Experience in healthcare and/or insurance settings is preferred. Familiarity with technology-based processes in a business environment is also beneficial.

JOB-RELATED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

Exceptional communication skills, critical thinking, efficient time management, and ability to meet deadlines. Computer literacy and typing skills are essential.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Includes lifting, bending, traveling, and long periods of sitting and computer work.

WORK FROM HOME TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must provide and support internet services; maintaining an uninterrupted internet connection is required.
