Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Intermediate ICU (IMCU) to lead clinical staff during nights and coordinate patient care delivery. The role focuses on supervision, staffing, and advancing quality initiatives within a high-acuity unit.

You will oversee care coordination, coaching, and performance feedback while promoting patient-centered outcomes and professional development among team members.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Two years of recent clinical nursing experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Strong demonstrated clinic knowledge and skills.
• Good oral, written and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate communication and collaboration among unit caregivers and other departments/units.
• Ensure continuity of patient care information between shifts.
• Coordinate patient admitting, discharges, transfers and other operational issues.
• Review major operational patient care issues with Nurse Managers.
• Provide ongoing clinical evaluations of caregivers, counsel caregivers on performance issues, administer initial corrective actions and monitor attendance issues.
• Interview, select and orient new caregivers.
• Supervise and participate in the daily delivery of patient care.
• Prepare work schedules to ensure adequate coverage of all shifts.
• Participate in and support quality improvement projects, outcomes, studies and research initiatives.
• Assist in orienting new personnel, continuing education and in-service educational programs.
