Job summary

Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Coordinator for our Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). The role provides clinical leadership for nursing care, leads safety and quality initiatives, and helps streamline workflow in a 24-bed stepdown unit.

The ideal candidate has a BSN (MSN preferred), an active RN license, BLS within 90 days, and at least 18 months of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required or MSN preferred.
• Registered Nurse license required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for the IMCU.
• Provides clinical leadership for delivery of nursing care.
• Leads safety and quality initiatives and improves workflow.
• Contributes to staff development and enhances staff satisfaction.
