Job summary

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital is seeking a Licensed Nursing Assistant to join our Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) on day shifts. You will work 12-hour shifts (6:30am–7:00pm) with a focus on patient assessment, comfort, and essential care tasks while contributing to a supportive team.

Ideal candidates hold an active LNA certification, demonstrate compassion, strong communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; NH LNA license and BLS are required.

Responsibilities

• Measure and record vital signs and patient information.
• Assist with specimen management and bedside laboratory testing.
• Observe and report patient responses to care.

• Promote mobility through ambulation and exercise therapy.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, and oral health maintenance.
• Provide comfort and emotional support to patients.
• Facilitate visits from family and friends.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients.
• Assist in emergencies and maintain safety precautions.
• Support smooth departmental operations and discharge process.
• Help orient new staff members.
• Maintain current knowledge and competency in LNA practice.
• Participate in in-service training and development opportunities.
