Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Registered Nurse in the IMC to provide individualized nursing care using the nursing process, compliant with state practice acts and the ANA code of ethics. The role requires collaboration with physicians and inter-professional teams to plan, implement and evaluate care for patients with complex medical needs.

The IMC unit handles patients requiring frequent monitoring after surgeries and with complex conditions, offering a bridge between ICU and general care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license in the practicing state and/or multistate licensure if in an NLC state.
• Obtains and maintains required department competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with physicians and other colleagues to plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Demonstrates competency and practices within nursing scope and standards.
• Cares for patients through prevention, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up.
• Responsible for planning and coordination of care, patient assessment and education.
• Functions within the Nurse Practice Act and state rules.
