Job summary

Fairview Health Services seeks a Nursing Assistant for M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. The position runs 60 hours every two weeks on the Night shift with 12-hour shifts, and every third weekend. The IMC unit delivers patient-centered care with telemetry and strong multidisciplinary collaboration.

The role supports the RN through routine patient care, room setup, and supply management, under supervision. OnTrack or Fairview nursing programs and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required; OnTrack training or Fairview program preferred.
• Six months of direct care experience in long-term, home, or acute care settings.
• Enrollment in an LPN/RN/NP program with clinical rotation completed.
• Current Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist professional nurse in delivering patient care and transporting items.
• Set up and maintain patient rooms; reorder and stock supplies.
• Provide basic patient care: grooming, bathing, toileting, feeding, oral hygiene.
• Monitor patient condition and report unusual findings to the RN promptly.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge; orient patients and family.
