Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is seeking a Supervisor of Transport and Tech Assistance to lead the Transport and Assistant Teams in support of imaging services. This full-time, day-shift role focuses on patient safety, effective throughput, and collaboration with radiology staff to ensure high-quality care.

The ideal candidate has hospital/clinical background with BLS certification and relevant licensure, plus basic computer skills to manage exams and scheduling.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Hospital and/or clinical background preferred.
• Clinical/medical licensure equivalent preferred (EMT, Paramedic, Nurse Assistant or firefighters MSC or FII Certification).
• BLS certified.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily activities of the Transport and Assistant Teams under Imaging supervision.
• Ensure patient transport and related duties support imaging workflow safely.
• Coordinate communication with radiologists and team members.
• Order, complete, cancel, and adjust exams in the computer system.
• Follow department scheduling and patient/procedure preparation instructions.
• Check and maintain emergency equipment daily.
• Assist with quality improvement projects as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent
